Taru and Samu competed on Eastern again. We had quite mixed feelings afterwards. From three courses, two first ones were chaotic from their part, so two disq’s were a fact and the possibility for “The double clean” was missed. After that Samu finally was “angry enough”, and the last course, jumpers, was clean! It’s weird with this mood-thing, Samu is not an angry person  and it is not pure anger that is needed, but there’s some king of edge over Taru he has to have, combined with smooth co-operation. And this seems to be hard to find! Anyway, the last run was great (even if Samu had to change his plan during the run as he couldn’t make a blind cross there where he had briefed it). They came second only 0.12 s. after the winner, which wasn’t bad at all because the first was our idol, Zen the Wonderful. Tero used camera again to capture the run. Thanks!

Tosi has now started her first heat. She was a few days under 11 months (just to keep our records: Myytti was 8,5 months, Taru a couple of days over 12 months). She’s rather careless with her bleeding, she doesn’t lick herself very much and is quite active in destroying “diapers” (whatever they are in English) that we have tried…

We have been working hard with Taru all the winter and trained condition, agility and obedience skills. She has visited an animal physiotherapist and a masseuse. We didn’t compete so much in winter when it’s cold and inconvenient (especially for the rest of the gang) to sit in the car and wait. There are many competitions nearby now in spring and we had thought to participate in those and avoid long distances and waits in the cold car. Well, now Taru has broken a tooth. We don’t know when but anyway it has to be removed. This means that because of the doping rules, she cannot take part in most of the ag & ob competitions we had planned. It will also be very hard to gain the results for Finnish champs in agility. Well, we still have a couple of tries and if she doesn’t manage, then she simple isn’t ready yet. A new attempt next year!
