…but it's quite hard to remember what we have been doing… Tosi has trained a bit. She's doing some small things every day, and every now and then we have trained with a small group of friends. Training "tricks" and things like that goes alright but topmost on my mind is that she is becoming a teenager. She's quite "overflowing" in many situations and is getting wilder and wilder. Even Taru doesn't understand why she is so occupied all the time. At the same time, she may "see bogeys" in some situations. I guess I should concentrate on everyday obedience and environment training now, I have like forgotten them for a moment.

I have also done some obedience with Taru and it goes ok, but I just don't get very enthusiastic with it. I went to watch obedience Nordic Championships in Helsinki in November, something which was great to see but motivation brought from there didn't last very long time! Well, we don't need to hurry up. Class three some time during next summer…

Taru has practiced agility regularly. A couple of weeks ago Taru and Samu attended again a class by Jaakko Suoknuuti. He's a great coach and always so encouraging. He has said some very nice things about Taru and Samu's handling, which makes us so glad :).

Last Sunday Taru competed in agility, after a couple of months' break. People in Seinäjoki had an absolutely great hall to compete, though very limited space for other dogs than those who were just up to start, because the other dogs were only allowed in a restricted area. Tosi behaved very nicely there but revolving doors were frightening. I didn't have a possibility to train anything in the hall (except Tosi passing by dogs and she staying in an open crate when dogs are passing by it) but I did some obedience outside, in addition to playing and city walking.

Taru's and Samu's first run was pretty good even if it resulted in an off-course. The things we had decided to do a bit differently than most others worked well but then Taru found a tunnel which wasn't intended to be taken. In the second course Samu also found a handling that was nearly perfect for them in this phase of Taru's education. It resulted in a clean run and placement as the second. It was a big class with over 60 dogs, so that was very well done from our little unknown creature! The last course was pretty much of what everybody knows to expect from that judge: four straight tunnels, from which three in a row, and together seven times to the tunnel…! Samu and Taru had many fine sequences but once Taru run by a tunnel that wasn't directly in front of her, and after that there was just speed and no care, so two bars were dropped. Quite funny anyway!
