Holidays are over and it's time to prepare for the autumn. Agilitywise this means starting to pick up (hah, as if it would be that easy...) clean runs for qualifying to the Finnish Championships and World Team qualifications 2010. The criteria for qualification have been elevated: one needs 7 clean runs, of which min. one "double clean" AND one victory. Now it's not enough to make pretty clean runs, but at least once you have to be able to be faster than others - well, isn't that the point in competing anyways?

Taru made two runs in Valkeakoski. Both courses were pretty easy except that some obstacles were quite close to each other, especially if one wanted to try for the shortest way. First run was a clean one. Problems started at the end of see-saw where I lost the course (actually I think Taru jumped off the ss before it had landed...). Then she hit the bar quite heavily so I thought there was a fault. I somehow managed to run to the finishing lane as did Taru (with some extra curves). Well, the bar didn't dropped so a clean run - and the fastest time as well!

Second run was a good run but this time the see-saw was a bit too fast. I was somehow frozen because of the tunnel in the beginning was not were it used to be while walking the course. I should have changed by plan but did not. Fastest time also this time but with 5 faults it gives you nothing - no double clean.

Next competitions take place on Sunday when there's three runs in Lempäälä. We took this morning our pack (+1 = Nelli) to Mutala for some training: it was nice to see Hanna and Tosi run some 20+ obstacles course without almost no mistakes! Also the weather was +20+ degrees so now it's time to recover the energy loss with some berrypie!
